WHO WE ARE

Four Farms Place is a mother/daughter-led, women-owned and operated business.

Becca Crutchfield is the Founder, creative mastermind, powerhouse and land steward of Four Farms Place. She and her late husband, Jack, were married on this land in 1990. Jack Crutchfield bought the Garden House in the 1980’s. The Lake House became part of the family in 2020, adopted from our long time neighbors when they decided to sell.

Sydney Crutchfield is the Communications and Marketing Director of Four Farms Place. You’ll find her behind our website, social media channels, emails and event production as well as wearing various other hats when needed.

Originally from Massachusetts, Becca has lived in Greensboro since attending grad school at UNCG. She is a retired AAC Speech Therapist, entrepreneur, inventor, wood worker, avid gardener and children’s book writer. She also co-founded Camp REACH, a summer camp for children and young adults who use augmentative communication.

Sydney is a poet, writer, artist and author. Her debut poetry collection, Golden Threads, was published in 2024. Born and raised in Greensboro, Sydney attended Dickinson College in Pennsylvania before moving to Europe for several years. She has traveled widely, has a deep love and curiosity for wild places, hiking, camping and exploring new corners of the world. She connects deeply to nature, and believes in creation and honest expression as a form of vital medicine.

Juneau (dog) and Chutney (cat) are also part of the FFP family and you will no doubt see them when visiting the Garden House.

Weston Crutchfield lives in Denver with his partner, Julia. We love them very much.
